What is the Think Tank?

Founded in 2023, the Think Tank is a collective of community-based family physicians practicing in Peterborough, Ontario. The goal of its initiatives is to brainstorm and guide grassroots-level initiatives relevant to family medicine under three key pillars:

1. Family Physician Recruitment & Retention
2. Family Physician Advocacy
3. Practice Management and Evaluation

What is the Hub?

Built with the support of the Peterborough Ontario Health Team (POHT), The Hub is one of the Think Tank’s projects to streamline shared care between family physicians and consultants. By offering a transparent and easy-to-update tool to share scope of practice and current wait times of consultants, this platform aims to simplify the referral process and decrease referral redirection rates.
